Examples of the type of projects undertaken are:

  • EDRMS Implementation working in the Change Management team on the project to implement EDRMS to 3,500 users at a large central government Agency. With responsibility for the Business Analysis, defining the configuration of the EDRMS software to meet the needs of the Agency. This included specifying the implementation of the fileplan including access controls and retention schedules, specifying metadata associated with record types, identifying roles and specifying system parameters. Assisting the model office team in defining their folder structure within the Agency's business classification scheme. Also advised the Agency's staff on the implementation of backup and disaster recovery, reviewed acceptance test plans and provided guidance on records management functionality.
  • Developed the specification of requirement for a major London Authority's Housing Planned Maintenance certificate electronic image archive with integration with the main Housing system. Produced the specification of requirement for the back file conversion of a drawing archive based on paper and aperture cards. This project involved developing an indexing methodology that would allow plans to be related together quickly and efficiently, using the minimum number of indexes. This involved the analysis of the existing housing management database structure and the examination of the indexes required to enable the most efficient retrieval method.
  • Specify and develop a web based purchase order system which improved efficiency and reduced costs
  • Developed a workflow system to automate the payment and debt collection process that conforms to the mandatory building contractors JCT80 payment process.
  • Analysed and then provided a complete sales order processing system for a wide area network service provided. Integrated the system with their client records management system allowing them to expand their operation from one to many sites without reducing the time taken to deliver a service or reducing customer service levels
  • In-Form's role was to provide the business and systems analysis and develop a business case and requirements specifications for an invitation to tender for a large procurement company dealing with multiple customers and suppliers. During the analysis all the heads of department and key staff were interviewed to ascertain how the current business processes functions and the paper flows. From this analysis group meetings were held to discuss the range of options available to scan and index the back-file of documents and new correspondence. Details of the metadata to be captured were agreed and written into the final statement of requirements. In-Form also advised on the best approach to interface any scanning and document management system to the existing proprietary procurement system.
  • Designed and developed a Web based exam marking system to collect exam papers from remote exam centres for marking and approval, and also to automate marking of exam papers using workflow and AI systems.
