IFC publishes a guidance for destroying paper records

On Thursday 7th April 2011, the Intellect Document and Content Group held a seminar on issues to do with document management. One of the sessions involved Malcolm Beach, one of IFC’s senior consultants, discussing a paper which provides guidance on developing a policy for destroying paper records. Despite the growth of electronic information, most organisation’s still receive and use paper records. These must be managed effectively, and the starting point to do so is to have a policy for how to deal with them.
